When having a boolean operator in the title (or any other field) the title can't be found when searching with the operator.

When using the keyword search it is possible to locate a record containing the Boolean operator 'NOT' only when the entire search string is bracketed in quotation marks. Bracketing a string containing Boolean operators with quotation marks will effectively nullify their Boolean meaning. For instance, searching the OPAC for the title Divorce Is Not The End Of The World will not generate the desired results, whereas, searching for "Divorce Is Not The End Of The World" will successfully return the requested title.

Boolean operators are hard-coded into ALEPH's parser. This means that all stings containing Boolean operators are parsed when a keyword search is conducted. Currently, there is no option to include 'NOT' as a search word using keyword search without also using quotation marks. However, conducting a Browse search using the full title of the book for which you are searching will return the desired title.
