    Cannot display/print graphic barcode on IE8 computer

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
    I changed my PC few weeks ago, and I am not able to have the barcode in graphic mode since that time. I use the "Letter" button on the Patron information and List from the sub menu. I include the output from this list who use the bor-list.xsl translation. This is the section of this xsl transformation who should display the graphic barcode :

    <xsl:call-template name="display-grid-gen">
    <xsl:with-param name="label" select="'Barcode'"/>
    <xsl:with-param name="value" select="./z30-barcode"/>
    <xsl:with-param name="type" select="'barcode'"/>
    <xsl:with-param name="header" select="$header"/>
    </xsl:call-template>
    This xsl file is in the ABC50/form_eng directory.

    The output from the list show some asterisks before and after the barcode. (See Attachment.)

    Is it missing something with Windows set-up?

    Resolution:
    The site removed IE8 and installed IE7. (No other change.) This corrected the problem.

    Ex Libris was not able to reproduce this problem. (We checked a pc which had IE8 installed and it displayed the graphic barcode OK.)
