    Description:
When a Course Reserves record is connected to the item via an abc01 bib record, changes to the abc50 item call number are not updating the abc30 call number index -- and aren't cascading through to the published abc30 record.

For example, reserves doc 76115 has two items attached. The items were updated on Feb 17, and the record has not been pushed through publishing again. Item updates could include changes to call number, which need to be published.

    Resolution:
The items in abc50 are connected to the abc01 bib records via an ADM link; they are connected to the abc30 course doc records via an ITM link. (Professors' copies are connected directly via an ADM link to the abc30; those are not a problem.)

Though a change to the abc50 call number generates a z07 in the ADM-linked abc01, it does not, by default, generate a z07 in the ITM-linked abc30.

As described in KB 9387, v16 rep_change 1550, the tab100 variable INDEX-ITM-LINK can be set to "Y" to allow indexing of ITM-linked records. (Note: the USMnn default for this is INDEX-ITM-LINK=N.)

We suggest that all sites with Course Reserves add this tab100 INDEX-ITM-LINK=Y in all their xxx50 libraries. (And then restart the pc_server.)

Note: It is *not* necessary to have ue_01 running in the xxx50 library in order for this to work. The program writes the z07 to the xxx30 library independently.
