Changes to collection name not being written into Z00P

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
A colleague recently made changes to tab40.eng by changing several collection names of certain collection code/sublibrary combinations....

These changes affected some 192,000 records. While the new collection name descriptions are properly appearing in the Aleph GUI and web environments, none of the AVA fields in the Z00P table have been updated. In other words, they continue displaying the old collection names. As a result, the collection names in Primo have not been updated.

In an effort to correct the problem have tried deleting all 192,000+ Z00P records and running p_manage_40 over an input file of those system numbers. However, the new Z00P records continue displaying the old collection names.

I have also tried individually deleting a single Z00P record (Z00P_DOC_NUMBER = '000323535'), then recreating the Z00P using util/f/1/13. Again, the new Z00P continues showing the old collection name in the AVA.

How can we get the new collection names to appear in the AVA fields?

    Resolution:
This was due to ue_21 not having been restarted since the change was made to tab40.eng.
