DELETE-SUBFIELD in generic fix deletes fixed fields
- Article Type: General
- Product: Aleph
- Product Version: 20
Problem Symptoms:
Setting DELETE-SUBFIELD with field 0## deletes fixed fields
Cause:
DELETE-SUBFIELD is intended for variable fields only.
Resolution:
Use fields 010, 035 rather than 0##. Setting 0## includes fixed fields (001, 005, 006, 007, 008) that do not have subfields, and is inappropriate for DELETE-SUBFIELD.
