    Dates in dd-mm-yyyy format instead of mm-dd-yyyy

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 21

    Problem Symptoms:
    Despite changing alephcom.ini file to mdy, dates are showing as dmy (day/month/year).

    Cause:
    Error in aleph_start parameter.

    Resolution:
    1. If $alephe_root/aleph_start has:

    setenv aleph_date_time 2 (European)

    change it to:

    setenv aleph_date_time 1 (U.S.).

    2. Run aleph_shutdown followed by aleph_startup.

    Additional Information

    If this, by itself, doesn't correct the problem, change the DateDisplayStyle line in the pc's .alephcomtabguisys.ini to:

    DateDisplayStyle=16

    This is described in KB's 16384-43649 ("How to format the date in Aleph") and 8192-9002 ("Incorrect-Date-Format ").
