    Description:
Is it possible to deactivate advanced booking and have only regular booking requests?

We only use this via the GUI, only for the Audiovisual sublibrary, for variable periods from a day to a week or more throughout the term for months into the future.

The regular booking request seems like the more appropriate function, but the advance booking seems to kick in randomly. When trying to create a booking request, sometimes we get the Advanced booking popup window with the list of available slots, and at other times we get the booking request popup window.

It's hard to tell why we get one popup window or the other. We use both the button and the drop down menu to invoke the booking request function.

    Resolution:
KB 16384-885 describes the differences between Media/Materials/Item Booking and Advance Booking.

The pc_cir_c0441 (loan) program checks to see if there's a z321 for a particular item to see if it should be treated as a "short loan".

You can do the following to remove the z321's which have been created and which you no longer want:

    1. dlib abc50
    2. util a/17/1 for the abc50 z321

As long as you don't run p_cir_60 (which would regenerate the z321's), the loan program should not treat any loans as Advance booking loans.
