    Deactivating HTMLprint

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
Is there a way to deactivate HTML print so that we can use Internet Explorer for printing in all modes? Currently, HTMLprint is used for "Normal" printing and IE explorer is used for "Preview" printing. These two programs print the XML very differently. We want "Preview" to match "Normal" printing, or vice versa. We are having problems with HTMLprint working with some of our customized templates.

    Resolution:
You can turn off the use of HTMLPrint altogether by setting NewPrintType=N in the alephcom.ini file on your workstations (c:\AL500\alephcom\tab). If you do that, Aleph should use the XML interpretation program that you have defined on the workstation (for .xml and .xsl filetypes).
