    Question

XXX50 z30 (Item) record 000012345000010, with z30_barcode "barcode" does not appear to be linked to any bib or hol record, and can't be pulled up in any client. Can it be deleted?

    Answer

    Yes, it can be deleted.

    1. Do:

    dlib xxx50
    util f/4

enter file name (or q to exit) doc

    ENTER DOC NUMBER: 000012345

If you find that there is no ADM doc record for this z30 key, then, definitely, you can and should delete this z30 via SQL.

    2. If there *is* an ADM doc record 000012345, then do:

    util a/3/12

    ENTER HOME LIBRARY : xxx50
    ENTER DOC-NUMBER : 000012345

If no links are displayed, the ADM can and should be deleted in the GUI. This will also delete the item record.
