    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23

    Problem Symptoms:
Even though an "STA DELETED" field has been added to the bib record, the words in the STA field (such as "recorded" and "sound") are retrievable in a keyword search by "WTP" (a Word index for the TYP field).

    The ./xxx01/tab/tab_type_config has these lines:

TYP Recorded Sound LDR F06-01 EQUAL i
TYP Recorded Music LDR F06-01 EQUAL j

(The records always appear at the end of the search results.)

The same problem occurs with a "DEL Y" field.

    Cause:
Additional, "N-EXIST" lines need to be added to tab_type_config.eng

    Resolution:
    1. Add the following lines to the ./xxx01/tab/tab_type_config:!

    1     2            3                     4     5          6            7
    !!!!!-!!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!

                                                                                                      DEL##  a                        N-EXIST            y

                                                                                                      STA##  a                        N-EXIST            deleted

(Note: these values are in columns 4, 5, 6, and 7, respectively; columns 1,2, and 3 are blank.)

    2. Resend the records for reindexing, either by manage-40 ("Update Indexes for Selected Records") or by resending them individually in GUI Cataloging.

    Additional Information

The problem occurs only if the "definition" in tab_type_config.eng depends solely on the LDR...
