    Description:
    After our initial data load, p_manage_64 was run and the result can be seen below: the Z308_VERIFICATION field contains the encrypted value of the password.

    ALEPH:USR00> select Z308_REC_KEY, Z308_VERIFICATION, Z308_ENCRYPTION from z308;
    Z308_REC_KEY Z308_VERIFICATION Z

    Question: if p_manage_64 is run again, what will happen to the encryption? Will the encrypted field be "re-encrypted"?

    Resolution:
    The Z308_VERIFICATION contents will remain the same. The field is NOT "re-encrypted".

    BEFORE p_manage_64:
    >> select * from z308 where substr(Z308_REC_KEY, 23, 27) = 'USM50';
    Z308_REC_KEY Z308_VERIFICATION Z3 Z308_ID Z3 Z
