    Due-date for today's loans is today, when it *should* be today 30

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
    The Due date for sublibrary ABCD loans for patron ID1234 is today. (It *should* be 30 days from today.) Library personnel are having to manually change the due dates to 30 days from today's date.

    Cause:
    When the system encounters a case where there is no entry for the Group ID/item status/patron status combination (either explicitly or via wildcards) in tab16, it assigns today as the due date and "0000" as the due hour/minute:
    * Patron ID1234 has z305_bor_status "03":
    * There are no xxx50 tab16 lines with "ABCD" as the Group ID (col. 1) and "03" as the patron status (col. 4); nor are there any lines with "ABCD" as the Group ID (col. 1) and "##" as the patron status (col. 4).

    Resolution:
    Add entries to the xxx50 tab16 for Group ID ABCD / patron status 03.

    Additional Information

    util f/4 for xxx50 z305 shows that patron ID1234 has z305_bor_status "03":

    02 z305_rec_key
    03 id ........................ID1234
    03 sub_library ...............XXX50
    02 z305_open_date ..............20130604
    02 z305_update_date ............20130604
    02 z305_bor_type ...............
    02 z305_bor_status .............03
    <etc.>

    The same can be seen in GUI Circ, as "Patron status", on the "Local Patron Information" tab.
