    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
When a patron with a Z308 Patron ID type 00 and a key value of NNNNNNN is loaded in XXX50, then a record with the same key value and a different type in YYY50, a duplicate record is created.

    Cause:
Z308-key-types must be unique across all ADM libraries

    Resolution:
    Solution
    01. Lengthen the Aleph ID value so that it is different than its associated university ID or barcode types
    02. Alternatively, it is also possible to assign a distinct last-bor-id prefix to the Aleph ID using util g/2
