    Problem Symptoms:

In Aleph Services Tab entries for authors appear double, in one line in the form "name - GND IDN" in the next line in the form "GND IDN"

    Resolution:

Due to the special GND configuration it is necessary that the according index has one entry for "name - GND IDN" (field 100$$a and $$9) and another entry for "GND IDN" (field 100$$9). When the Services tab is opened both entries from the index list are displayed. Avoid this by deleting the display of subfield $$9 in table xxx01/tab/edit_field.lng.

    Example:
    With subfield 9
    1 # PER## C
    2 a ^
    2 b ^
    2 9 ^^/^^

    Without subfield 9
    1 # PER## C -9
    2 a ^
    2 b ^
    2 9 ^^/^^

    Additional Information

Only relevant for Customers using the GND (German National Library Authority database)
