    Description:
When trying to upload a PDF-file in ADAM we are getting error message:
"The Index object contains non-valid UTF8 characters"

We do not see any problem in the PDF-file.
    What is causing the problem?

    Resolution:
In this case it turns out that usage type "Indexing text" was used. It is wrong to use usage type "Indexing text" for the PDF. This is causing the problem. PDFs should be uploaded with usage type "View". Then later by pressing button "Indexing" ADAM automatically creates the index text.

    Additional Information

    ADAM, PDF, UTF-8
