    Description:
Why on all the records do we get a "Field 999 with text '$$aMONOGRAPH' is a duplicate entry in the INDEX file." message together with a "Field tag 999 not valid" message?

    Resolution:
The reason you get the message "Field 999 with text '$$aMONOGRAPH' is a duplicate entry" is because all fields except those in
$data_tab/check_doc_unique_index get checked to see if they are unique.

To prevent this message, add 999 to this file as follows:

    999##

The reason you get the "Field tag 999 not valid" message is because you do not have these fields in $data_tab/check_doc_line (which does a check of logical structure/connections within a single occurrence of a field)

Add the following two lines to $data_tab/check_doc_line and you will no longer get this message:

    AL XX 999 -
    AL XX 999 a 0 -

Read the header for additional information.
