    Description:
We have added expand_doc_isbn_13 to the INDEX section of our tab_expand, but the expanded field is not being indexed, that is, when the incoming record has a 10-digit 020, the corresponding 13-digit 978nnnnnnnnnn ISBN can not be found. (And util f/4 for the Z11 does not show it either.)

Also, can this work for Words and Headings -- or is it just for the direct indexes?

    Resolution:
The most common cause of this is the failure to stop/start *both* ue_01 the pc_server. (The Z11 is updated by both.)

In this particular case, as can be seen in the abc01 tab11_ind, the field being indexed is not 020 but rather "a020". The a020 is a virtual field produced by expand_doc_extract.

The problem was that the abc01 tab_expand had the extract before the isbn_13. This means that the expanded isbn-13 fields did not exist at the time the extraction was being done and, therefore, no a020 field was being built for them.

The extract needs to be after the isbn_13, like this:

    INDEX expand_doc_isbn_13
    INDEX expand_doc_extract

Then ue_01 needs to be stopped/started and the pc_server needs to be restarted.

In regard to the Words, Headings, and Z13: you can add the expand_doc_isbn_13 to the WORD, ACC, and CREATE-Z13 sections of tab_expand and the expanded 020 will be generated/indexed in exactly the same fashion as the regular 020.
