    Description:
In our OPAC the filter for publication year is very slow. Can this be improved?

    Resolution:
In Aleph programs filter for publication year is very fast when index code WYR is used. This is hardcoded and can not be configured. Your libary (like many other MAB-libraries) is using WJA as index code for publication year. Then the filter works very slow. Our suggestion is to change index code from WJA to WYR in all relevant indexing tables (e.g. pc_tab_sear.eng, tab00.eng, tab11_word).
Please note that after changes in word indexing tables you should rebuild the word index using p_manage_01.
