    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23

    Problem Symptoms:
A fix script is used to amend a batch of BIB records prior to loading into Aleph. There are some 8nn fields newly created but they are not sorted properly in the output, e.g. field 830 follows field 856 but it should be the other way round.

    Cause:
    Normal system behavior

    Resolution:
Fields 5xx, 6xx, 7xx and 8xx are never sorted within a record.  See the article " Sort Order of 5XX, 6XX, 7XX, 8XX Fields in catalog record " in this regard.
