GUI Browse List doesn't limit results to base for "Include Bib/HOL data''

    Description:
In the GUI Cataloging Browse Search, when clicking 'Include Bib/HOL data''; the returned browse list returns all records even though I have limited the search to a specific base. Where do we set up the limits for Holdings Info to just the base chosen?

    Resolution:
The Browse filter by logical base limits the results to headings which are held in that base.

    The logic is this:

Does this base include a title containing this heading?

Yes - the heading is in the base.
No - the heading is not in the base.

Once it is determined that a heading is in the base and you click "Include Bib/Hol Data", the system displays the heading for each holding which contains that heading. Note that, though your bases are location-based, other bases may have to do with bib format, type, etc. -- and nothing to do with locations.

The limiting of the holdings display to particular libraries in the Web Full and Web Brief display is achieved via tab_sub_lib_sort and tab_item_list_order. (See Knowledge Base records 6752 and 4016.)

It's conceivable that tab_sub_lib_sort and tab_item_list_order could be used to sort/filter these GUI Browse results -- but that would be an enhancement....
