We just updated to 20.1.1, sp2417. In the new GUI client, we're still seeing the version as 20.01 in the title bar, although the Help -> About window displays the version correctly as 20.1.1 (2417). This is a bit confusing.
The “Version 20.01” in the blue title bar is different than the GUI version in the Help.
What appears in the title bar ("20.01") is a fixed number for the version which will not change through the major release. This is version 20 (including all following minor relases).
Also, the version in the blue title bar is the alephcom.ini “Version= “ value, which needs to match the line in $alephe_tab/tab_version on the server (-- and, as described in KB 16384-24898, the ALEPH_REVISION in aleph_start).
Since your server tab_version has:
20.01 ALEPH Y 0
Your pc’s alephcom.ini needs to have:
and that is what will display on the blue title bar.
**Note: This issue have been addressed in version 21. The “.01” has been removed from the version in the bar at the top of the screen. See attached.**
