    Description:
Is there a way to mask or prevent z303_birth_date from displaying in the GUI client?

One of our libraries doesn't want birth dates appearing in their patron records. However, this data is provided in their patron load file, so every time one is run I go in and remove the birth dates with a query.

    Resolution:
Though you can change the text from "Date of birth" to something else at the label .\Circ\UserGlobalInfo.Static.BirthDate in .\Circ\tab\eng\window.dat, there is no way to prevent the date from displaying in the box next to the text.

You could use SQL to delete this field for this ADM and prevent its load in the future via the PLIF, but I would note that, as described in KB's 16384-35889 and 16384-30417, the Date of birth is needed if the tab100 CHECK-UNIQUE-NAME-BIRTH=Y is to be used in preventing duplicates.
