Hold request on specific item when the item is a like copy

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
    * When a hold request is placed on an available like copy it is automatically moved to the item created first (also if it is on loan) even if col.11 in ./xxx50/tab/tab15.lng is set to Y (Specific item; the request will be for the specific item, not another like copy)

    Cause:
In ./xxx50/tab/tab100 the following definitions are present:
    SUB-LIBRARY-DIVISION=Y
    HOLD-REQUEST-ITM-STATUS=Y
    HOLD-REQUEST-COLLECTION=Y
    HOLD-REQ-PROCESS-STATUS=Y

    Resolution:
    1. Assign its own Copy Number to each items linked to the bibliographic record to uniquely identify the copy.
    2. The Copy Number is present in the Item Match Filter tab of the hold request form. It is relevant for hold request on specific item.
