How do I make the Web item sort match the GUI item sort (ascending)?

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 17.01

    Description:
We're beginning to add item records to our periodical holdings and have a problem with the item display in the OPAC.
We've added periodical volumes and the display for these in the GUI is correct (ascending: earliest volume displays at the top of the list and the latest volume displays at the bottom of the list).

Yet when you do a search in the OPAC for this journal and display the items, they are in descending order (latest volume displays at the top of the list and the earliest volume displays at the bottom of the list).

How can we get the OPAC to display in the same sequence as it does in the GUI?

    Resolution:
Update usm01/tab/tab_z30_sort as follows (add the WWW-A-# line):

    ! 1 2 3 4 5
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!-!!-!-!!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    WWW-A A 04 A 00
    SEARCH D 00 D 00
    WWW-X A 01 A 05
    Z39-1 A 06 A 06
    ! WWW-A A 01 A 05

The content for the WWW-A-# line was copied from the first ITEM-0 line of usm50/tab/tab_z30_sort.
