    Question

The forms being used for patron notices, etc., are those in the ./xxx01/form_eng. Is it possible to make a particular library have its own forms -- or have several libraries (ADM, ILL or Course libraries) share forms -- which are different than the xxx01 forms?

    Answer

    Yes.

The critical element is the library $data_tab/path_convert file. The ./usm50/tab/path_convert has the following line:

    $usm50_dev/usm50/form_eng $usm01_dev/usm01/form_eng

That line is what makes usm50 use the usm01 forms.

To make a library use its own ./form_eng, this line in the library's path_convert file would need to be removed or commented out.
To make a library use some other library's form_eng forms, change the target ($usm01_dev/usm01/form_eng) to that other library.

In such a case, make certain that this library -- whose forms may not have been used previously -- has the correct forms and that util i/6 is performed after the change to path_convert and to the forms to make a new html.pck be created for download to the pc when the GUI client is started.
