    Description:

How to allow staff to place holds on available items through the GUI, while at the same time not allowing these holds to be placed via the OPAC? Message "error in pickup sublibrary" appears and the drop-down is empty.

    Resolution:

This probably indicates that there is a CIRC check_hold_request_e line in the xxx50/tab/tab_hold_request and that there is no line in the xxx50/tab/tab37 for this z30_sub_library / z30_item_status / z305_bor_status combination. Or, if there is a line, that it has "N" in its column 5 (indicating that it is to be used only for *un*available items).

If it seems to you that there is a correct line, then, please, as a test, comment out the "CIRC check_hold_request_e" line and see if it then works.
