    Description:
How do we configure Aleph to allow a staff (patron status 10) to place a hold request on an item (item status 02), but deny hold requests for general patrons (patron status 01)?

We have configured xxx50/tab15.eng to permit hold requests for item status 02, but want to further restrict who can place hold requests.
    L15A 02 ## L Approval Required N N Y N Y Y Y N N 00 N A

What is the best way to do this? (tab_hold_request? tab37?)

    Resolution:
KB 8192-10312 describes a similar situation.

In your case the tab16 line which you want to update is this:

    ????? 02 ## 01 ...

Column 13 will need to have 0.

And then, as described in 8192-10312, you need to make certain that tab_hold_request check_hold_request_h is active.
