    Description:
I have a requirement to change the cataloging level from 99 to 20 on @1800 bib records which I have found via running p_ret_01.

    How can I do this?

    Resolution:
p_manage_21 no longer resets the CAT level to 00; it writes the new CAT field with the CAT level of the last previous CAT field, thus, preserving the CAT level value.

What is required in this case is a program which lets you set the CAT level.

You could use the p_ret_01 doc number file as input to p_print_03 (specifying "ALEPH Sequential" as the format) and then re-load the records with p_manage_18, specifying "20" as the CAT Level. (p_manage_18 lets you specify a CAT level.)
