    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
In version 16, we had an .\ALEPHCOM\BIN\version.exe file we could click on to do version control.

In version 18, there is an .\ALEPHCOM\BIN\verutil.exe, but it seems it doesn't work. (It gives ""Failed to upgrade GUI." )

    Resolution:
\ALEPHCOM\BIN\verutil.exe is not intended to be run as a standalone executable.

You need either do the Version Check on boot or the Version Check within each GUI module. (To do the latter, you click on ALEPH in the upper left-hand corner of the screen and then select "Version Check" from the dropdown.)

The display which you see when you click on "Version Check" has an option "Run Version Check at Startup". If this box is not checked, you can check it.

If it is checked and the version check on boot doesn't seem to work, then you will need to rely on the Version check from the dropdown.
