    Description:
    How do I monitor the number of Oracle processes which are currently active?

    Resolution:
    > sqlplus ALEPH_DBA [or oracle]
    > Enter password: ALEPH_DBA [or oracle password]
    SQL> SELECT count(*) from V$PROCESS;
