    Description:
For inter-library loan books we would like to set a fine sufficient to block circulation, which would be $10 since max cash is set to $10, and we'd like to apply it the day after the due date of the item if it has not been returned.

We don't want to increment the fine daily, the way fines are usually calculated.

I can't figure out a combination of settings for tab16 to make this happen. Is it possible?

    Resolution:
tab_late_return should work for this. It lets you specify the fine for each specific day overdue.

I see that "16" is an item status for ILL.

Here's how you would do this:

    1. tab16: You would have "F" in column 14 (Fine Method) in the lines for item status 16. "F" is "total days by intervals (using tab_late_return)".

    2. tab_late_return: This table lets you specify a particular fine for a specific time period. "Using method "F" a set rate is charged for a time period."

    You would have two lines:

    ! 1 2 3 4 5
    !!!!!-!!-!!-!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!
    ##### ## ## 0000 10.00
    ##### ## ## 0999 10.00

The first line says that the fine will be $10.00 if the item is returned on the first day it is overdue.
The second line says that the fine will be continue to be $10.00 if the item is returned any day after that.
