    Description:
I have loaded the name and subject authority records into our xxx10 Authority library. Is there a way for me to check to be sure that the UPD flag is set correctly for the records? I want the name authority records to be set to "N" and the subject authority records set to "Y". I can't see whether my settings are correct.

    Resolution:
You can look at the records with UTIL-F-4.
Name authority records have a 100 or 110 field while Subject authority records have an 150 or 151 field.
An UPD "N" record has a "UPD" field with a value of "N".
A UPD "Y" record has a "UPD" field with a value of "Y".
If a record has no UPD field, then it is, by default "UPD Y".
