How to upgrade to Apache version 2.2 on an Aleph 20 machine?

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23

    Description:
I need to upgrade to Apache version 2.2.  (Note:  the same principles apply to higher versions of Apache and Aleph.)
I have Aleph 20.2.1 (with RC 3057 already installed).
Where can I find the instructions on how to upgrade Apache and openSSL?

    Resolution:
Before proceeding with Apache 2.2 installation Aleph customer must have the latest SP with Apache 2.2 support installed. Please look at Implementation Notes for detailed instructions about changes in Aleph configuration necessary for Apache 2.2 implementation.

[Note:  Contact Ex Libris Support for the xxxxxx password referred to below.]

Detailed instructions for Apache 2.2 installation in /exlibris/product directory could be found here:

    ftp://produser:xxxxxx@ftp.exlibrisgroup.com/product_patches/README.apache22.txt

Note: I found on Jan. 4, 2012, that the preceding did not work. The following *did* work:

    > ftp ftp.exlibrisgroup.com
    Connected to ftp.exlibrisgroup.com.
