ILL2 Update and Display of LC Number and OCLC Number

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
On the Web ILL application, the Request Details panel displays data in the fields LC Number and OCLC Number in addition to ISSN/ISBN.
In the ILL2 GUI the LC Number and OCLC Number do not appear on any of the tabbed displays in the bottom right pane.
[1] How do we add these fields so they will display in the bottom pane, tab "1. Request Info."?
[2] How do we edit these fields?

    Resolution:
First check that XXX40 is listed in the local Catalog > per_lib.ini file and that the appropriate staff have XXX40 Cataloging privileges.

To edit fields in record 66606, open ILL2 > left pane, Search tab > [F] Find > upper right pane, Base = ILL (XXX40), System Number = 66606 > click OK button > this switches you to the [H] Show view > left pane, select [2] Overview > right pane, click Catalog button (aka "Push" the record to Cataloging) > this will open the XXX40 66606 bibliographic information in the Cataloging module with all fields available for editing.

For the display of bibliographic fields in tab 1, XXX40/tab/edit_paragraph.eng format 111 is currently used by all print forms and ill expanded information screens (the gray ones).
This format is set in XXX50/tab/bib_format by screen and form name.
Adding these 2 lines to display LC and OCLC Numbers:
    111 010## D LCCN:^ .##
    111 035## D OCLC:^ .##
at the bottom of edit_paragraph.eng format 111 :
    !1 2 3 4 5 6
    !!!-!!!!!-!-!!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!-!
    111 245## D Title:^ ##
    111 1#### D Author:^ ##
    111 260## D Imprint:^ ##

    Displays:
Title: Journal of hydrologic engineering / American Society of Civil Engineers, Water Resources Engineering Division.
Imprint: New York, NY : The Society, c1996-.
    LCCN: 96659519 sn 95005927.
    OCLC: ocm32947843.

[Please note that the CRM web display compresses spaces, so the spacing in the above examples will need to be fixed.]
