In OPAC: "The base / library you request for is locked"

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
In OPAC: "The base / library you request for is locked.", for example, for the base "XXX03" (""E-Books and E-Journals""), when, in fact, the xxx03 library is not locked.

    Cause:
The "XXX03" base did not appear in the util h/1/10 display. (See Additional information below.)

    Resolution:
Change the base name in ./www_f_eng/bases_links_include and ./baselist_include from "XXX03" to a base which exists in util h/1/10.

    Additional Information

util h/1/10 shows the number of records in each base for a particular library. It shows the following for xxx01:

    Library report for XXX01
    Mon Apr 1 15:07:23 CDT 2013

    ***************************************************************************

    Checking Library type (tab100)
Demo library for current library is USM01

    ***************************************************************************

    Z0102 Setup

Number of records per base and Z0102 recommended and current setup

    Base | # Docs | Recommended| Current | Conflicts
    --------------------+-------------+------------+------------+---------
    XXX01 |FULL BASE | No | No |
    XXX01PUB |NEGATIVE BASE| No | No |
    <etc.>

    And this for xxx03:

    Library report for XXX03
    Mon Apr 1 15:05:11 CDT 2013

    ***************************************************************************

    Checking Library type (tab100)
Demo library for current library is USM01

    ***************************************************************************

    Z0102 Setup

Number of records per base and Z0102 recommended and current setup

    Base | # Docs | Recommended| Current | Conflicts
    --------------------+-------------+------------+------------+---------
    XXX03PUB |NEGATIVE BASE| No | No |

Comparing the two, while "XXX01" appears as a base ("FULL BASE") in the first display, plain "XXX03" does *not* appear as a base in the second.
