Incorrect Sublibrary in Course Doc List upper pane with Multiple Items

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
If a book is placed on Course Reserve that is part of a multi-volume set (such as a journal,) or has multiple copies, the wrong sublibrary code is displayed under "Course Doc List." It appears to be fairly consistent in displaying the sublibrary code that comes first alphabetically, not the sublibrary code that is associated with the item. This is a problem because it's hard for staff to tell if the item has not had its sublibrary code changed when it was placed on Course Reserve.

    Resolution:
As described in KB 16384-16882, the information in the upper pane is coming from the z13 record. The z13 is at the bib level; it is not item-specific. If the staff does not see the Course Reserve sublibary in the upper pane, then they need to click on the Items tab in the lower pane to confirm that the item has the Course Reserve sublibrary.
