    Description:
Do we have any function in Aleph that allows a library to identify a "last copy available" before loaning?

The idea is that a library may have 20 copies of a book. All copies are available for loan. The library wants to be sure that 1 copy is always in the library.

Therefore, the Circulation staff needs to be notified at the time of loan if an item is the "last copy in library" of a particular book and be offered the option of stopping the loan.

    Resolution:
Responses have indicated that the only method for achieving this in Aleph is to designate 1 copy as non-circulating.

The library can always override that last copy's status and allow it to circulate.
