    Description:
Installation of latest Aleph 18 SP fails on RH 3 (it works fine on RH 4)

    > Checking RTS ...

    > /exlibris/aleph/a18_1/aleph/exe/rts32: /lib/tls/libc.so.6: version > `GLIBC_2.3.4' not found (required by

    /exlibris/aleph/a18_1/aleph/exe/rts32)

    > ----------------------

    > RTS Error occured

    Resolution:
As explained on the official site of Red Hat https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/errata/ Oct. 31, 2010 was the official end of the Red Hat 3 life cycle (scroll down on the page to the "life cycle dates" section). Therefore Aleph 18 SPs are not supporting Red Hat 3 any longer.

We therefore highly recommend that you upgrade to Red Hat 4. When doing so take into account that you will need to schedule with us an installation of the Cobol License in advance.
