    Question

Is it possible to backup circulation history regularly?

    Answer

No, you cannot backup/archive the circulation history.

    Additional Information

The circulation history is stored in table Z36H (Historical Loans).

You can activate or de-active the history function by setting variable

    ./xxx50/tab/tab100
    CREATE-Z36H=Y

    !# CREATE-Z36H
    !# Values:Y N Default: Y
!# Type: Text; Max Length: 01
    !# tab100 of library: Yes; tab100_<server_type>: No.
    !
! Y = transfer completed loan records to a history file

That means, if the parameter is set to 'Y', the history will be created.

Starting with Minor release Aleph 22.1 (rep_change #2020) you have the option to delete historical data up to a specific date / Number of days.
