    Description:
Our head of circulation would like to know if ALEPH offers a pop-up function for check out/in of items with multiple pieces?

Voyager has a feature that forces a circulation module pop-up when multiple pieces are indicated in the item record. We’re having some issues with student employees not checking for multiple pieces with some items, and I was wondering if ALEPH has a similar feature.

    Resolution:
There is no separate field for the number of pieces, but this can be added to the item as a Circulation Note (z30_note_circulation). This note is entered/maintained on the General Information (2) tab of the Item Form.

If the option 'Display Circulation Note' is checked in the GUI Circ ALEPH - Options - Set up Return Options, this note will display when performing a return.

If the option 'Display Circulation Note' is checked in the GUI Circ ALEPH - Options - Set up Loan Options, this note will display when performing a loan.
