    Description:
We are in the process of setting up a Disaster Recovery server and are inquiring whether there are license issues.

    Resolution:
Any server which is running Aleph needs to have an $alephe_tab/license file which includes its IP address.

In this case of a Disaster Recovery server we allow the ip address of the DR server to be included in the regular server's license file. That way, when data (including the license file) is copied from the regular server to the DR server and a failover occurs, the DR server can function without needing to have its license file updated.

Thus, you would need to give us the DR server's IP address and we will give you a license file (containing both addresses) which will be usable on both servers.
