    Description:
Specifying a log name + full path for the clear_vir01 job_list entry, as described in KB 16384-4178, the job runs, but the $alephe_scratch log file name contains spaces:

    log_clear_vir _24499

I couldn't open the log file because of the blanks so instead I opened it by typing "log_clear_vir*". Any idea why it's creating the odd log file name?

    Resolution:
Looking at $alephe_tab/job_list, I see this:

    W0 04:01:00 N log_clear_vir\240 \240 \240 \240 csh -f /exlibris/aleph/a19_1/aleph/proc/clear_vir01 VIR01

Looking at the job_list entry with putty, I see these "\240"s. Site didn’t see them with pico, but deleted the spaces in between log_clear_vir and csh –f and put new blanks. And restarted the job daemon.

After that, the log file appeared normally in $alephe_scratch.
