    Description:
We are a multi-time zone site. Do we need to do anything special in regard to Daylight Savings time?

    Resolution:
If you are a multi-time zone site (libraries on your shared server are operating in 2 different time zones) the server clock will change according to the time zone where the server is located. If you have used TIMEZONE-ADJ in tab100, libraries that are plus or minus one hour will NOT have their batch jobs affected when the system clock changes. That is, the job_list, which is located in $alephe_tab, operates with the system time and ignores the time-zone adjustment that is configured in tab100.

Finally, for some of the Indiana libraries where the time ZONE changes rather than the TIME, and if your server OS was installed to ignore Daylight Savings Time, you can sleep a peaceful night and not worry.

See KB 5151 for general advice on the change *off * Daylight Savings time (in the Fall) and KB 8192-743 in regard to the change *to* Daylight Savings time (in the Spring).
