    Not possible to add duplicate call numbers

    Description

    It's not possible to add a duplicate call number. Message "Duplicated call number" appears and the call number can't be saved.

    Resolution

    There is a paramater in xxx50/tab/tab100 which checks a duplicate call number:

     

    !# CHECK-DUP-CALL-NO

    !# Values:Y N  Default: N

    !# Type: Text;    Max Length: 01

    !# tab100 of library: Yes;  tab100_<server_type>: No.

    !

    !  N = No Item Call Number duplication check is performed.

    !  Y = Item Call Number duplication check is activated.

    !  When item is created/updated with call number (Z30-CALL-NO-TYPE and Z30-CALL-NO)

    !  which is already set for an item of a different ADM record,

    !  a block error message appears and item can not be saved.

    !  if the call number is already set for an item of a the same ADM record,

    !  a warning message will appear.

    CHECK-DUP-CALL-NO=Y

     

    The value is set to "Y". If you don't want the check delete the line from xxx50/tab/tab100 (CHECK-DUP-CALL-NO=Y) and restart the PC server. Afterwards there should be no check anymore.
