Once documents for a course go to "NA", is there a way to reactivate them?

    Description:
Once the books for a course go to "NA" is there any way the records can have that status taken off to make them active again, without having to reload them?

    Resolution:
When you make the course inactive (via p_course_03) it adds "NA" as a subfield to the z108_period in the z108 (course) record for this course. Example:

    z108_period ..... $$1Winter$$2Spring$$3NA

The documents connected to this course will then include this "NA" subfield in the CNO-6 field, which is dynamically expanded into the doc record. Example:

    CNO-6 L $$1Winter$$2Spring$$3NA

When the p_manage_01 Word index is run for this doc record, it will generate a "wpe=na" index entry. This will cause the doc record (and the course) to be omitted from OPAC searches (assuming that the base being used for the current xxx30 in the OPAC has "not wpe=na").

When you ran p_course_03, if you said you wanted the items to be taken off Reserve, then the sublibrary and item-status of the items would have been restored to the pre-Reserve values.

To reactivate the course, all you need to do is to remove the $$xNA from the z108_period (KB 16384-4626 describes how to do this) and rerun p_manage_01. The doc records, which have been connected to the course right along, will now appear in the current OPAC. If you did not specify "Remove items from Reserve" when you ran p_course_03, then the items will still be there and there is nothing additional to do.

If you *did* specify "Remove items from Reserve", then each item will need to be readded to the course in exactly the same fashion as it was in the previous semester.
