    Only one Sublib/Coll/Call#, but two "Library/Collection" holdings in OPAC

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
    The King Guide to Parenteral Admixtures is showing two "Library/Collection" holdings in the OPAC (both "ABC : Books"), but has only one holdings record in the GUI, and all items are attached to that single holdings record.

    Why are two "Library/Collection's" showing up in the OPAC?

    Resolution:
    The first item for this title (16865-10) has z30_material BOOKS:

    02 z30_rec_key \
    03 doc_number ................000016865
    03 item_sequence .............000010
    02 z30_barcode .................100010147
    02 z30_sub_library .............WO
    02 z30_material ................BOOKS <----
    02 z30_item_status .............01
    <etc.>

    The next (16865-40) -- and the others following -- have z30_material ISSUE:

    02 z30_rec_key \
    03 doc_number ................000016865
    03 item_sequence .............000040
    02 z30_barcode .................13967*
    02 z30_sub_library .............WO
    02 z30_material ................ISSUE <----
    02 z30_item_status .............05
    <etc.>

    The PST and LOC routines look at the sublibrary, collection, call number, and material, and display each unique combination that they find.

    If you change the z30_material of 16865-10 to "ISSUE", it should show just a single holding in the OPAC.
