    Description:
In the 'Open Hours Exceptions' screen, if exceptions are deleted/cleared, does this have any effect on fine calculations -- that is, if an item is returned and the loan period included an exception, will the correct overdue fine be calculated? If not, how many years of exceptions should we keep?

    Resolution:
This depends on what "Fine Method" you are using in tab16. If you specify a "Total Days" method, then tab17 is not consulted, but if you specify an "Open Days" method, then the fine programs will consult tab17 to see what days the library was open.

But even if you do use Open Days, after several months, the few days that the library was closed several months ago will be a small part of the total fine, and the deletion of the exception should not really matter.
