Our DBA has confirmed with Oracle that we are affected by the bug described in the attachment and recommends that we apply a patch (Critical Patch Update) (CPUApr2010 (CPU Patch 9369783, or PSU Patch 9352179).

Can you see any reason not to apply that patch?

Resolution:
The patch CPUApr2010 (CPU Patch 9369783, or PSU Patch 9352179) is on the Doc Portal (Cross-Products --> Oracle --> Oracle 10g and --> Oracle 11g folders) and the ftp server.
