    Description:

    When changing a server name, what configuration changes need to be made regarding Oracle?


    Resolution:

    In the file system, the server name appears (and should be changed where relevant) in the following files:
    $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/listener.ora 
    $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/tnsnames.ora 

     
    The following parameters in the Oracle database should be updated as well:
    DB_DOMAIN
    SERVICE_NAMES
