Question

Documentation “How to use util 3 3” about German library statistics says:

UTIL S 3 1/1 - Active users

This routine calculates the number of active users (with loans or manual renewals within a certain period) per sub-library and in total.

However when you run this statistic on customer’s server the number of users per sublibrary is much higher than the number of users in total. So the question is which value is counted here?

Answer

A user active in two sublibraries will be counted twice in the table, but only once as active user. Therefore the sum in the table exceeds the number of active users.
